3.     Ss can chant the Fastest, slowest, oldest, youngest chant.

Ss know it’s very useful to make superlative statements and ask and answer superlative questions.

Ss read the four dialogs in pairs.

Ss read their own dialogs of Page 8. (Say it!)

 

Ss enjoy the Chant-a-gram.

Greetings.

 

1. T:   Donny is the tallest in the class.

Have Ss repeat.

  T:   Sandy is the best chess player in the class.

Have Ss repeat.

 

Have individual Ss say some sentences like this.

 

Ask 3 kid to the front. (including the tallest in the class.)

3 kids stand in order of height.

Ss say ___ is the tallest in the class.

Then draw a big questions mark and ask:

   Who’s the tallest in the class?

Have Ss answer:  ____ is the tallest in the class.

Answer together, in teams, individually.

 

Have Ss ask T answer.

 

Have Ss open their books to Page 15.

1.     Have Ss listen to the tape.

2.     Have Ss look at Part A.  Make their dialogs with partners.

Show in pairs.

3.     Have Ss listen to Part B: 

-- Who’s the tallest in the class?

             -- Donny.

    

   Have Ss make their dialogs with partners.

   Show in pairs.

 

4.     Ss pick up their pens and do Part C.

Ss check their partners’ works. 

Read them to your partners.
